Jungle Book Fun!

It has been a busy, full week! We started it with Field Day and now a trip to the movies! Tomorrow is our Math and AR walk of fame! Whoo hoo!

Liberty's Legacy Graduation Celebration

Today, the kiddos graduated from the Liberty's Legacy Super Citizen Program! We honored our class Helping Hands Hero, Officer Isbell, by giving him a Liberty pin.

May 2-6

This week will be a review of comprehension skills. We will read A Bad Case of Stripes to review cause and effect and character traits. We will read I Am Jackie Robinson and The Magic School Bus Plays Ball to practice fact and opinion. We will read The Luckiest One to review inferring and drawing

Conclusions. We will read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus to practice sequencing. All the books will be used to practice author's purpose! 

Our phonics skill will be the -tion, -ture endings. We will not have a spelling test, but please help your child learn to read and spell the words on the newsletter. This will help them become 3rd grade ready!

Constitution Village

We had a great day touring the Alabama Constitution Village Friday! The kiddos were really engaged the whole time and learned so much! This was a great educational field trip:)

Fun Friday!

We are joining together with Ms. Spears class and working each day to earn a star towards Fun Friday! Today we had Board Game Friday. Look at these smiling faces having fun! 

And to make Fun Friday better, we had such good behavior in our lunch line- The kiddos got a compliment and earned a star for next week!
