Summer...

As most of you know, I am moving to 2nd Grade! I am super excited and I get to teach right across the hall from Mrs. Kaylin Wilson, one of my best friends! What girl wouldn't want to teach with her best friend!?! I have been working hard these last few weeks to get my new classroom ready. It has been so hard (even with the help of my besties) trying to decide the colors I wanted in the room and how I wanted to set it up. I think I have finally got it! I spent all of one morning in Hunstville with Ms. Alyssa Rains, my other best friend:), at a school supply store and had a blast buying borders and letters and all the fun stuff that only teachers get excited about!! We finished the morning with a trip to Olive Garden and then got to work in our rooms. I have had a very relaxing summer and am glad to have a few more weeks to relax before the school year starts, but I am also getting excited about starting a new year! This is going to be a great school year!

A few things:

•       Orientation for 2nd Grade will be on Friday, August 16 at 7:00
•       Meet and Greet is Thursday, August 15 from 9:00-11:00
•       You may bring your child on Thursday to meet his/her teacher and the other students in the class. We ask that you try not to bring your child to orientation. 
•       You may bring your child's school supplies to school during the Meet and Greet or Orientation. 
•       School Supply Kits will be on sale during Orientation for $35.00 or you can email scharles@albertk12.org to pre-order a kit
